Accounts Payable Clerk

Role Overview

As an Accounts Payable Clerk at Shegerian & Associates, you will manage the end-to-end processing of invoices and receipts with utmost accuracy. Your role involves ensuring every expense is allocated appropriately to client matters, supporting a high-volume transaction environment within a detailed framework.

Primary Duties

• Manage the complete invoice and receipt cycle including capture, validation, data entry, coding, case allocation, and routing for approval.
• Accurately record all expenses to the correct client matter numbers to maintain precise financial tracking.
• Rapidly and accurately process large quantities of vendor invoices and payment information into the financial and ERP systems.
• Conduct reconciliation of credit card transactions, coding approximately 200 entries daily while tracing underlying invoices or receipts.
• Identify and investigate anomalies such as duplicate payments or miscoded expenses, collaborating with accounting staff to resolve any issues.
• Maintain an organized filing system for invoices within the ERP system, enabling quick retrieval.

Candidate Profile

• Prior experience in accounts payable, preferably within a law firm or professional services firm.
• Strong familiarity with booking costs to client matter codes.
• Attention to detail with a strong commitment to error-free work.
• Ability to maintain accuracy and composure during periods of increased transaction volume and fast pace.
• Excellent organizational skills, capable of designing systems that improve overall efficiency.
• Clear and effective communication skills to highlight discrepancies for review.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and willingness to work with ERP or practice management software.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive hourly wage between $25 and $27, dependent on experience.
