Role Overview
This regional accounting position covers Asia and involves managing daily operational accounting activities, coordinating budgeting and forecasting, preparing quarterly tax filings, and assisting with year-end statutory audits. The role aims to enhance financial processes and ensure accuracy in reporting by implementing effective control strategies and fostering continuous improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary contact for ERP modules including Procurement, Order Processing, Inventory Management, and Finance.
- Address operational accounting issues promptly and ensure adherence to local regulations.
- Collaborate with operations teams to align accounting with business strategies.
- Manage accounting functions ensuring compliance with policies, standards, and regulations.
- Process payments, prepare balance sheet schedules, and generate timely management reports.
- Facilitate collection of accounts receivable and standardize accounting procedures to strengthen internal controls.
- Provide professional accounting advice to support business activities and analyze reports to deliver actionable insights.
- Coordinate audit processes and support budgeting and forecasting with relevant stakeholders.
- Lead digital transformation projects including AI, workflow automation, and dashboard implementation.
- Support departmental and cross-functional projects, conduct user acceptance testing for new digital tools.
- Handle banking correspondences such as bank guarantees, letters of credit, and loan applications where necessary.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Proactive self-starter with strong collaboration skills across departments.
- Adaptable and motivated to face new challenges with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently under pressure and handle change effectively.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and experienced with financial systems; familiarity with Syteline, Workday, or Power BI is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- CPA or CA certification is preferred.
