Job description
Overview
This role is based within the Department for Rural Health at the Whyalla Campus of a major university. It is a full-time, fixed-term contract position running until 31 December 2026, focused on providing impactful support services to students undertaking rural health placements. The salary range is $75,366 to $82,607 per annum plus 17% superannuation.
Role Purpose
The primary purpose is to provide high-quality accommodation management and wellbeing support for students completing rural health placements. This position supports student success and contributes to a sustainable rural health workforce by fostering strong community links and positive placement experiences.
Key Accountabilities
- Coordinate student accommodation arrangements and provide support to promote wellbeing during regional placements.
- Engage with a diverse range of stakeholders internally and externally to enhance student experiences.
- Balance accommodation coordination duties with community engagement and student support activities.
- Work closely with the team while reporting to the Manager of the Department of Rural Health within the College of Health.
Required Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated experience supporting diverse groups in a customer-facing or support capacity.
- Capability to deliver professional, high-level customer service to both internal departments and external partners.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills tailored to varied audiences.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to efficiently handle multiple priorities.
- Proficiency using information management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Additional Conditions and Special Requirements
- Role may require working outside regular business hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Local, national, or international travel is expected as part of the duties.
- Holding a valid driver’s license is mandatory.
- Position requires a current Working with Children Check as per relevant state legislation.
