Yardsperson

Role Overview

Reporting to the Project team, the Yardsperson will oversee the upkeep and organisation of the yard, assist with site logistics, manage materials and equipment handling, and ensure the working environment is safe and orderly.

Primary Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organisation within the yard area
• Assist with the receipt, unloading, and dispatch of materials and equipment
• Carry out general housekeeping and yard maintenance tasks
• Provide support to tradespeople and operational staff as needed
• Operate on-site vehicles and equipment following established procedures
• Engage in safety programs and adhere to all site-specific safety requirements

Qualifications & Skills

• Possession of a current Manual Driver's Licence (mandatory)
• Prior experience in yardperson duties, storekeeping, labouring or related roles
• Strong dedication to workplace health and safety standards
• Capability to perform physically demanding tasks
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Proactive and dependable approach to work

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift Licence (considered a strong advantage)
• Exposure to mining, construction, or heavy industry sectors
• Basic mechanical skills

Residency Requirements

Applicants must live in or be willing to relocate to West Wyalong, Forbes, or nearby regional communities as this is a residential role.
