Your Role
As a Working Student Software Engineer, you'll collaborate within a cross-functional product team comprising frontend and backend developers, product managers, and designers. Your contribution will focus on developing and maintaining core customer-facing software that simplifies and streamlines renewable technology installations.
Responsibilities
- Identify, assess, develop, and deploy innovative software solutions for customer-facing products.
- Maintain and extend essential business applications to ensure reliability and efficiency.
- Translate complex business challenges into clear, actionable software requirements.
- Promote a culture of experiment-driven innovation within the development team.
- Enhance developer and user experience by reducing technical debt, automating processes, documenting decisions, and elevating software quality.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver impactful software.

- Backend: Ruby on Rails, TypeScript, Node.js, NestJS
- Frontend: React, TypeScript, Next.js, Vercel
- Mobile: Flutter
- Cloud: Google Cloud Platform services including Cloud Run, PubSub, CloudSQL, Firestore, and BigQuery

Candidate Profile
- Currently enrolled in a German university with at least two semesters remaining in computer science or a related field.
- Available to commit approximately 20 hours weekly.
- Experience producing clean, reusable, self-explanatory, and testable code, especially in TypeScript and backend or full-stack environments.
- Basic understanding of RESTful API design and maintenance.
- Agile, result-driven mentality with strong teamwork orientation.
- Creative, enthusiastic problem-solving attitude aligned with ambitious company culture.
- Proficient in English (spoken and written); German language skills are advantageous.
- Residency in Germany is required.
