Job Overview
The Warehouse Coordinator will manage and execute the movement and storage of goods within the warehouse setting of a brewery, ensuring safety and efficiency under the guidance of the Warehouse team leader. This role includes overseeing receiving, stocking, chemical and raw material storage, inventory control, and related warehouse functionalities.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere strictly to safety regulations and report any accidents, hazards, or unsafe incidents promptly.
- Promote a safety-first culture by encouraging open discussions about safety concerns and leading by example.
- Support and reinforce Sustainability, Health, and Environmental (SHE) policies, proposing improvement suggestions to management.
- Implement safety and sustainability projects and assess their effectiveness.
- Conduct regular shop floor inspections to ensure compliance with company and local standards, reporting findings during meetings such as DCS.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety throughout warehouse areas, providing a healthy work environment aligned with SHE policies.
- Coordinate daily activities of warehouse crew including laborers and forklift drivers, depending on assigned areas.
- Perform all warehouse activities following instructions and established procedures, applying 5S and TPM principles to promote workplace organization and efficiency.
- Manage goods movement accurately and timely, including loading/unloading, line feed/discharge, and register all movements properly, using scanners where applicable.
- Ensure all product shipments and transfers have authorized documentation with zero delays; prepare timely inventory count reports weekly.
- Maintain stock accuracy by recording all movements in the ERP system and conduct periodic stock counts with deviation reporting.
- Ensure correct application of FEFO inventory rotation and segregate quarantined raw materials.
- Comply with all Standard Operating Procedures and maintain necessary documentation according to document control guidelines.
- Identify and report stock discrepancies, damages, and shortages promptly and provide justifications within 24 hours; be accountable for unexplained shortages.
- Arrange and actively participate in monthly stock counts and ensure goods are moved according to instructions regarding timing and quantity.
- Secure all stock against theft risks and maintain clear location identifiers within warehouse facilities.
- Perform cleaning and housekeeping tasks regularly.
- Inspect packaging quality of incoming and outgoing goods, isolate defective products, and initiate measures to prevent quality and damage issues.
- Manage receipt, storage, repair, scrapping, and issuance of raw materials and products, controlling empty containers accurately.
- Operate material-handling equipment such as forklifts safely, only when certified, reporting any equipment issues promptly and following maintenance schedules.
- Control warehouse access and handle keys responsibly.
- Monitor storage racks and pallet conditions, suggesting improvements for safety, processes, equipment, stock quality, and inventory management.
- Engage in TPM improvement initiatives and participate in DCS meetings.
- Compile daily operational performance and prepare weekly/monthly inventory and delivery reports, including discrepancies and damages documentation.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- At least two years of logistics experience with warehouse management, preferably in the FMCG sector.
- Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field.
