Role Overview

We are looking to hire a full-time Videographer to join our team in East London. The successful candidate will support audio-visual production for online content creators and business clients, working closely with the Studio Manager, Senior Videographer, and Video Editor. Responsibilities include filming and editing episodic conversational content, capturing photos, recording audio, and providing technical assistance. This role calls for a creative individual passionate about digital content and eager to develop their career in a media-focused agency environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage studio podcast/vodcast bookings and create video and photographic content for clients.
• Set up and maintain equipment such as DSLR cameras, microphones, sound mixers, LED lighting, and live switching hardware.
• Manage digital media files and edit multi-camera video content for platforms including YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and X.
• Open and close studio facilities according to schedule.
• Provide customers and staff with support and troubleshooting for media equipment and software.
• Handle check-in/out of audio and video rental equipment, ensuring proper functioning upon return.
• Conduct equipment and software maintenance, troubleshooting, upgrades, and research.
• Communicate studio policies related to equipment use and bookings to customers and staff.
• Maintain accurate media equipment and customer file records in the database.
• Manage emergency troubleshooting and escalate major issues to the duty manager.
• Train, mentor, and supervise junior employees and new team members.
• Assist with department initiatives, including monthly newsletters and social media management.
• Be prepared to work evenings and weekends as required by business demands.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of three years of experience in a media production environment with expertise in both video and audio recording and editing.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop.
• Experience with DaVinci Resolve for video editing and color correction is preferred.
• Knowledge of digital video cameras such as Sony and Blackmagic.
• Understanding of audio mixers, microphone types, and post-production audio design.
• Strong cinematographic sense and framing skills demonstrated through a comprehensive portfolio.
• Competence in graphic design and an understanding of social media branding.
• Excellent customer service capabilities when interacting with clients and team members.
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Affinity for the UK influencer, podcaster, and YouTube content creator community is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Applicants must provide a portfolio or website; applications without one will not be considered.

Compensation and Work Conditions

The salary ranges from £30,000 to £34,000 annually, based on experience. The position requires a 40-hour work week, including evening and weekend shifts due to business needs.
