Role Overview

We are looking to hire a well-organized and personable Veterinary Receptionist to join our team at O'Shea, Bramley & Breen Veterinary Hospital. This full-time position involves being the first point of contact for clients and ensuring a warm, professional, and compassionate experience. The hospital is a busy, progressive practice with a loyal clientele and strong reputation for excellent patient and client care.

Responsibilities

  • Greet both clients and their pets warmly and professionally.
  • Handle telephone and email enquiries promptly and efficiently.
  • Schedule and manage appointments utilizing the Merlin practice management system.
  • Process payments and carry out end-of-day cash reconciliation.
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with deliveries.
  • Support various administrative tasks within the practice.
  • Maintain high standards of tidiness and professionalism in reception and client-facing areas.
  • Develop strong product knowledge to assist clients confidently with their queries.

Working Hours and Pattern

  • Full-time role with 40 hours per week spread over 4.5 days.
  • Practice opening hours: Monday to Friday, from 8:00am to 8:00pm.
  • Saturday hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm.
  • Shifts are scheduled on a rota basis within these hours.
  • No work on Sundays, Bank Holidays, or out-of-hours.
  • Overtime is compensated with time off in lieu (TOIL).
