Role Overview
The Transportation Coordinator position is a remote opportunity for candidates based in the United States, with a preference for those located in the Midwest. Hired by a Fortune 100 Food & Beverage manufacturing client partnered with FuseGlobal for over 20 years, this contract role is initially six months with potential for extension. It requires working Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, with occasional overtime and holiday rotations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Supporting a small team of three members in daily transportation operations.
- Handling comprehensive transportation planning tasks including scheduling and tendering.
- Resolving product-related transportation issues efficiently.
- Coordinating and communicating via email with various internal departments.
- Collaborating cross-functionally with Operations Planning and Warehouse/Plant teams.
Candidate Qualifications and Skills
- Prior experience in transportation or inventory management is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Dependable availability during standard business hours with flexibility for occasional overtime and holiday work.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills presented in a clear, professional manner.
- Comfort with managing interactions across multiple stakeholders simultaneously.
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks and handle competing demands efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Capability to juggle routine tasks alongside unforeseen challenges with adaptability to shifting daily priorities.
- Familiarity with SAP is beneficial but not required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel features such as filters, sorting, and basic formulas, along with aptitude for reviewing data accuracy.
- Comfortable navigating multiple organizational systems and tools.
