About Collette
Collette, North America's longest-running tour operator with over a century of expertise, is inviting skilled Tour Managers to guide tours across Western and Atlantic Canada. Operating as an independent contractor, this role focuses on tours in the Rockies and regions including Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and New Brunswick from early September to mid-October 2026. Successful performance may open up further seasonal opportunities for June–October 2027.
Role Overview
As the on-site representative of Collette, you will be pivotal in crafting an exceptional traveler experience. Your role encompasses building connections with participants, ensuring group safety and smooth itinerary flow, imparting local cultural and historical insights, and enhancing tours by interacting with communities and creating engaging experiences.
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute detailed travel itineraries, bringing destinations vividly to life for travelers.
- Oversee logistical operations and ensure the safety and well-being of the group.
- Deliver outstanding travel experiences aligning with Collette's quality standards.
- Assume day-to-day responsibility for traveler satisfaction and welfare.
- Adapt tours flexibly within the framework of the planned itinerary to suit group needs.
- Engage with traveler feedback constructively, participating in coaching to elevate service.
- Provide insightful commentary and suggestions on local cuisine, shopping, and activities during leisure time.
- Manage daily financial records accurately, keep receipts, and complete required reporting promptly.
Required Experience and Skills
- At least five years’ expertise leading guided tours for North American and Australian clientele.
- Proven experience specifically in the Canadian Rockies, Eastern Canada corridor (Toronto to Quebec City), or Maritime provinces.
- Proficiency in English is required; French language abilities are advantageous for Eastern Canada assignments.
- Competent with technology tools relevant to tour management.
