Test Analyst

Role Overview

The Center of Digital Entrepreneurship CODE is hiring a part-time remote Test Analyst responsible for verifying the quality and reliability of various digital products and platforms. The specialist will create and run test cases, manually assess web and mobile applications, and meticulously document outcomes. They will collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and designers to detect defects, review requirements and specifications, and contribute towards enhancing user experience and product functionality.

Key Duties

• Designing and executing manual test cases for web and mobile applications.
• Reviewing functional requirements and specifications to establish testing conditions.
• Reporting bugs and working alongside cross-functional teams to resolve issues efficiently.
• Assisting in the development of comprehensive test plans and supporting test management tasks.
• Analyzing test data to provide actionable insights for product improvement.
• Engaging with startup teams and internal stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of user-focused digital solutions.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven proficiency in manual testing and test execution methodologies.
• Competence in organizing and managing test activities, including defect tracking and documentation.
• Strong analytical abilities to interpret test results and identify improvement opportunities.
• Experience with software quality assurance processes and relevant defect tracking tools.
• Technical familiarity with web and mobile development environments and a foundational understanding of UX principles.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are an added advantage.
• Capability to work autonomously in a remote, part-time role and effectively oversee multiple projects.
• A degree or current studies in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline, or relevant equivalent experience.
• Previous involvement in testing digital products for startups or innovation-driven projects is beneficial.
