About the Role
Promises Behavioral Health seeks a Temporary HR Coordinator for a minimum 90-day assignment, working remotely within Central or Eastern Time Zones. The role supports HR Shared Services by overseeing personnel records, audits, compliance tasks, and benefits and leave administration. This full-time, 40-hour per week position operates during 8am-5pm Central Time and offers $25 per hour. It reports directly to the Director of Corporate Human Resources and requires great organizational skills and discretion managing sensitive data.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain employee personnel files, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
- Conduct ongoing audits to detect incomplete or outdated documentation, coordinating corrective actions.
- Manage electronic employee records across platforms such as SharePoint and ADP Workforce Now.
- Ensure document retention and recordkeeping meet internal and external standards such as accreditation requirements.
- Oversee Form I-9 verification processes including completion, audits, reverification, and maintenance of employment eligibility records.
- Handle benefits-related communications, manage benefits data accuracy, and audit records accordingly.
- Track leave requests, certifications, approvals, and coordinate communications related to leaves and benefit continuation.
- Assist with HRIS data integrity, onboarding compliance, Healthicity training records, and provide backup support for operational processes.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related preferred.
- At least 2 years of HR experience focusing on personnel records management, compliance, benefits, or leave administration.
- Strong knowledge of HR compliance, recordkeeping, I-9 administration, and auditing concepts.
- Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and electronic document management systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to handle confidential information professionally.
- Detail-oriented with exemplary organizational and multi-tasking capabilities.
- Experience in state-regulated or accredited healthcare environments, preferably The Joint Commission (TJC), is a strong plus.
Additional Information
- Remote role requiring alignment to Central or Eastern Time Zone working hours: 8am to 5pm Central Time, weekdays.
- $25 hourly pay rate.
- Temporary position anticipated to last at least 90 days with a potential for extension.
