About Notion
Notion is a collaborative AI-powered workspace designed to bring teams and agents together in one place where knowledge, projects, meetings, and AI tools coexist seamlessly. Used by millions of individuals and organizations of all sizes, Notion aims to create a future of work that is faster, clearer, and more unified. The employees, known as Notinos, prioritize craftsmanship and human-centric work, focusing on building lasting tools that empower users to focus more on their meaningful work.
Role Overview
We are seeking a passionate Early Career Recruiter to redefine the approach to hiring emerging talent. This role is ideal for a proactive creator enthusiastic about shaping innovative recruiting programs, enhancing employer branding, and designing candidate assessments in the evolving AI landscape. You will take full ownership of Notion's early career hiring strategy, collaborating closely with teams across Engineering, Product, Design, Sales, and People.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage recruiting initiatives such as internships and new graduate pipelines that are scalable, lasting, and uniquely embody Notion's culture.
- Innovate talent sourcing beyond conventional campus recruiting by exploring communities, hackathons, open source projects, AI-driven tools, and personalized outreach strategies.
- Create and refine assessment processes that effectively measure how early career candidates think, learn, and create, moving beyond traditional evaluation methods.
- Enhance Notion's employer brand by working with Communications, Design, and People teams to tell compelling stories about career opportunities and experiences.
- Train and support hiring managers and interviewers to assess early career candidates thoughtfully, ensuring fairness and high-quality evaluation standards.
Qualifications and Skills
- At least two years of recruiting experience, especially in early career, college/university, or program-based recruitment.
- An innovative and constructive mindset geared towards building new programs rather than maintaining existing ones.
- Strong interest in discovering and assessing emerging talent through continuous experimentation with sourcing channels and candidate engagement techniques.
- Excellent understanding of employer branding and candidate experience, with attention to every interaction point that influences trust and perception.
- Capability to balance strategic design of programs with their practical execution.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with candidates, hiring teams, and partners.
- Proficiency in utilizing data to inform decision-making, recognize trends, and advocate for effective approaches.
Preferred Experience
- Previous involvement in creating or contributing to early career hiring programs from inception.
- Experience experimenting with unconventional sourcing or evaluation techniques and insights gained from those efforts.
- Familiarity with the early career landscape for engineering and technical roles.
- Regular user and enthusiast of Notion’s platform.
Compensation and Location
For candidates based in San Francisco or New York City, the estimated annual base salary range is $135,000 to $151,000. Compensation varies based on factors such as location, role complexity, and individual experience. This position requires onsite attendance on designated days (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday) to collaborate closely with the team.
Commitment to Diversity
We strive to hire talented individuals from diverse backgrounds. Applicants who do not meet every qualification are still encouraged to apply. Notion is committed to equal opportunity employment, providing reasonable accommodations during the hiring process, and considering candidates with arrest or conviction records consistent with local laws. We uphold non-discriminatory practices covering all protected characteristics and ensure accessibility for qualified applicants with disabilities.
AI at Notion
While deep AI expertise is not required for every role, all team members are expected to be curious, experimental, and leverage AI as a collaborative tool to enhance their work.
