Position Overview

Reporting to the Assistant Executive Director of IT, this role involves diagnosing and fixing issues related to computer hardware and software applications. The successful candidate will ensure that all computer service requests are handled promptly and effectively.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience is required.
  • In-depth knowledge of various software, hardware, and network systems is essential.
  • Proven experience in troubleshooting hardware and software problems, performing equipment upgrades, and determining needed repairs or replacements for assigned projects.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

This job involves working both indoors and outdoors, sometimes facing weather exposure, dust, odors, loud noises, and temperature changes depending on the season. Reasonable accommodations will be provided for individuals with disabilities.

Physically, the role requires standing, sitting, kneeling, bending, reaching, twisting, carrying up to 35 pounds, and operating vehicles such as a 6-passenger van. The candidate will also need to operate manual aids like hydraulic and wheelchair lifts. Good dexterity for handling electronic devices and extensive viewing of screens is needed.

Additional Responsibilities

The employee must be trained and ready to apply crisis management techniques, including verbal and physical interventions, when necessary and in line with agency policies.

The position demands capabilities such as analyzing information, note-taking, document reading and writing, independent problem solving, managing interruptions, maintaining public relations, organization, and clear communication with diverse groups.
