Job description

About Harvey Performance Company

Harvey Performance Company is a vibrant and expanding community-driven organization that emphasizes both personal and professional development while celebrating collective achievements.

Role Overview

This newly established Planning Analyst role is integral in constructing data metric reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) that empower Demand Planning, Production Planning, and inventory optimization processes. The analyst will collaborate with planning leadership and the database team, receiving mentorship while contributing to the implementation of a new planning and inventory optimization system scheduled later this year. While the position is primarily remote across New England, preference is given to candidates based in Rowley, MA with one day per week onsite.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and sustain KPI reports and dashboards focused on Demand and Production Planning including service metrics, inventory status, forecast accuracy, and execution monitoring.
  • Develop and execute SQL queries on ERP data sources like Epicor P21, SAP, and Kinetic, ensuring datasets are accurate, repeatable, and trustworthy for planners.
  • Design Power BI data models that emphasize crucial insights while eliminating irrelevant data.
  • Implement data validation and refresh processes establishing a single reliable source for planning data.
  • Assist in refining planning parameters such as lead times, minimum order quantities, and safety stock alongside planning teams.
  • Assist with the forthcoming deployment of inventory optimization and demand planning systems through activities like requirements collection, field mapping, testing, and validating KPIs post launch.
  • Coordinate with IT and database teams for data accessibility and reporting agility.
  • Develop repeatable analytical workflows aimed at reducing manual efforts over time.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in analytics, business intelligence, or supply chain/planning analysis, preferably within manufacturing or distribution sectors.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, capable of creating queries independently including complex joins and validation logic.
  • Experience in Power BI dashboard creation that impacts operational teams.
  • Basic understanding of supply chain fundamentals such as purchase order flow, sales order flow, and planning master data, or eagerness to learn these concepts.
  • Some familiarity with ERP software systems; experience with Epicor or SAP is advantageous but knowledge of any major ERP suffices.
  • Ability to convert business questions into analytical deliverables and collaborate cross-functionally with IT and operational partners.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate dashboard insights to non-technical stakeholders and data structures to technical teams.

Additional Desirable Skills

  • Prior involvement in implementing planning systems, including processes like requirements gathering, field mapping, user acceptance testing, and post-deployment evaluation.
  • Knowledge of contemporary demand planning or inventory optimization software such as Kinaxis, o9, Logility, Blue Yonder, OMP, RELEX, SAP IBP, or equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields such as Supply Chain, Analytics, Engineering, Finance, or Management Information Systems is preferred.

Work Environment and Benefits

Located in scenic Rowley, MA, the company balances professional development with a relaxing lifestyle. The culture promotes work-life integration and continuous growth.

  • Dynamic, fast-growing workplace presenting ongoing new career opportunities.
  • Access to professional training programs and tuition reimbursement.
  • Comprehensive benefits including paid time off, paid holidays, health, dental, and vision insurance, 401k matching, and profit-sharing plans.

Compensation

The salary offered ranges from $75,000 to $85,000 annually and will be determined based on the applicant’s skills, experience, and performance.
