Opportunities are available in Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch for Mechanical Engineering students eager to develop their skills and explore consultancy careers.

Teams and Projects

Interns can join either the Energy & Industrial team, working on industrial facilities, manufacturing plants, energy infrastructure, and process systems, or the Buildings team, which focuses on mechanical building services design in hospitals, airports, commercial spaces, educational facilities, and other community environments. Assignments vary by placement and interests, providing exposure to diverse projects and technical challenges.

What Your Summer Experience Might Include

  • Assisting Energy & Industrial projects that support various industrial and energy systems.

  • Exploring potential pathways into Aurecon's Graduate Program.

Growth and Support

The internship aims to strengthen your technical skills, boost consulting confidence, and provide insight into different career routes. You will have guidance from a team leader, a buddy, and the early careers team. Participation in the Intern Learning and Leadership Series will help you refine your professional abilities, expand your network, and understand interdisciplinary teamwork.
