The Store Manager In Training (SMIT) position is intended as a preparatory development track to equip you for a future Store Manager role at CVS Health.

Program Overview

This structured program spans 16 weeks and combines virtual and practical learning sessions designed to cultivate leadership skills necessary for managing a CVS store. You’ll be supported by a network including your District Leader, HR Business Partner, Training Store Manager, and Store Manager coach.

Core Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms to lead and support team members.
• Deliver excellent customer service by performing customer care duties with high standards.
• Implement merchandising strategies that drive store sales and growth.
• Oversee inventory and asset management to ensure continued profitability.

Development Expectations

• Engage actively in key learning experiences with your leader, supporting your progress toward promotion.
• Contribute as a management team member, embracing CVS values and policies in your leadership.
• Motivate colleagues to advance the company's mission of helping individuals achieve better health.
• Demonstrate willingness to accept a Store Manager promotion within your market.

Additional Information

• Selection for SMIT does not guarantee promotion; advancement depends on performance and position availability.
• Requires readiness to transfer to other CVS Pharmacy stores within the designated market area.
• Ability to work varying schedules based on store needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent relevant work experience considered.
• Experience in retail management or prior CVS Supervisor role is beneficial.

Work Details

• Full-time position with approximately 45 hours per week.
• Base pay ranges hourly between $18.50 and $23.88 depending on experience, education, and location.
