Job Overview

We are looking for a dedicated Stewarding Supervisor to oversee the stewarding department and ensure shining cleanliness standards that support the culinary and food & beverage teams. This role demands a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment, attentively maintaining hygiene to provide chefs with an impeccable workspace and enhance guest satisfaction.

Core Responsibilities

• Ensure the stewarding department operates efficiently, supporting kitchen and food & beverage areas to uphold superior guest food & beverage service quality throughout the hotel.
• Actively work to enhance guest satisfaction by responding promptly and effectively to inquiries and resolving issues.
• Implement and achieve stewarding initiatives and hotel performance objectives.
• Lead and nurture the stewarding team, promoting growth, development, and high performance within the department.
• Manage costs and inventory vigilantly, aiming for optimal productivity and performance benchmarks.
• Develop and sustain productive relationships with all key internal stakeholders.
• Take charge of scheduled deep cleaning activities and preventative maintenance to maintain exemplary cleanliness and address maintenance concerns.
• Ensure strict compliance with all relevant legislation, due diligence, and best practice standards, with detailed documentation for audits and follow-up actions.

Qualifications and Skills

• Previous experience in stewarding operations.
• Strong leadership and supervisory capabilities demonstrated through a hands-on, lead-by-example approach.
• Deep commitment to outstanding guest service and passion for hospitality.
• Creative problem-solving skills and capability to provide support as needed.
• High personal integrity with the ability to deliver excellence under demanding circumstances.
• Competence in using IT systems across multiple platforms.
• Effective communication skills.
