Sourcing Lead

Role Overview

Citizens is enhancing its sourcing operations by implementing a transformed sourcing experience. As a Sourcing Lead, you will be empowered with important spend data, market intelligence, and an integrated source-to-pay system. This position promises a strong partnership with business line executives, helping to shorten cycle times, provide valuable market insights, foster strategic discussions, and uncover more saving opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to developing commodity strategies that enhance cost efficiency, quality, and service by discovering sourcing opportunities and tactical approaches for complex negotiations.
• Manage all procurement activities for assigned commodities, ensuring appropriate actions are taken for purchases above procurement thresholds.
• Lead or participate in cross-functional teams to conduct sourcing initiatives including competitive bidding and contract negotiations, employing Agile contracting techniques.
• Serve as the subject matter expert in category procurement, collaborating with functional and business units to specify desired products/services and forecast demand, creating actionable plans.
• Stay informed on supplier status and industry trends to develop innovative solutions to challenges.
• Identify and recommend improvements in assigned categories, using analytical tools to prioritize projects that have measurable benefits to the business.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of progressive experience in contract negotiation, vendor management, and strategic sourcing.
• Proven capability in leading complex negotiations and enterprise sourcing initiatives.
• Strong commercial intuition backed by financial modeling skills.
• Advanced data analysis expertise with the ability to convert insights into business actions.
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally and building consensus among various stakeholders.
• Highly organized with methodical planning skills.
• Executive-caliber communication and presentation abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in financial services or other regulated sectors.
• Familiarity with third-party risk management frameworks and regulatory requirements.
• Experience managing large and complex spend portfolios.
• Advanced degrees or certifications such as MBA, CPSM, or CIPS.

Work Schedule

• 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Compensation & Benefits

The annual salary range for this role is $97,000 to $125,000, with additional opportunities for incentive bonuses. Pay is determined by factors such as budget, location, and experience.
