Role Overview

We are seeking a Software Engineer for a fully remote, full-time position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and sustaining software applications that power RiVirtual’s real estate intelligence offerings, digital transformation platforms, and FinTech/PropTech products. Key daily responsibilities include building backend services and APIs, delivering clean and efficient code, integrating multiple data sources and third-party tools, and enhancing system scalability and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop backend web services and APIs to support various platforms.
• Write maintainable, well-tested, and clean code following best practices.
• Integrate data sources and external third-party tools efficiently.
• Optimize system performance and enable scalability.
• Collaborate closely with product and data teams to align development efforts.
• Participate in code reviews, contribute to documentation, and assist in technical architecture decisions.

Qualifications and Skills

• Strong grounding in computer science concepts and software development methodologies.
• Proficient in programming and object-oriented design paradigms.
• Experience with backend web development including API creation and database management.
• Familiarity with modern development workflows, version control systems like Git, and continuous integration/deployment tools.
• Ability to craft clean, modular, and test-driven codebases.
• Effective remote collaboration skills within cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Desirable experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform and knowledge of security best practices.
• Interest or prior exposure to real estate, FinTech, or PropTech sectors is advantageous.
