Program Overview

This apprenticeship opportunity is tailored for individuals who have completed their degrees and seek to build foundational expertise in software development. It welcomes recent graduates and professionals transitioning from other industries to learn and enhance their entry-level software engineering and professional skills over a 12-month period. Participants will work onsite approximately 40 hours weekly at assigned office locations including Bengaluru, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, or Mumbai.

• The apprenticeship is a fixed 12-month program rather than a full-time permanent role.
• Apprentices may only apply for full-time roles within Google during the final three months of the program.
• Once assigned, location transfers are not permitted.

• The selection process spans approximately 18 to 24 weeks.

Minimum Qualifications

• Possession of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or a closely related field.
• Not presently enrolled in any academic course.
• Under one year of experience in software application development.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language.

Role and Responsibilities

• Adhere to coding standards and ensure quality compliance.
• Contribute to software development tasks, including coding, unit testing, and integration, to deliver high-quality results.
• Apply apprenticeship learning to practical software projects.
• Test code in alignment with guidelines set by the team or manager.

Program Benefits

Apprentices will gain comprehensive exposure to various facets of software development across Google, including coding, testing, and project oversight. Approximately 20% of the time will be dedicated to structured external training, with the rest spent on hands-on project work within Google teams.
