Role Overview

This role as a Server and Systems Administrator based in Athenry entails overseeing the installation, configuration, and maintenance of server hardware and software, ensuring high performance and dependability. Responsibilities also include monitoring system operations, conducting regular updates, backups, and security tasks, managing user accounts and access rights, troubleshooting various hardware, software, and network issues, and documenting system configurations and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain server hardware and software infrastructure.
• Monitor performance to guarantee system reliability and uptime.
• Execute routine system updates, patch applications, conduct backups, and implement security protocols.
• Manage Microsoft Intune and endpoint management including device enrollment, compliance, configuration profiles, and application deployments.
• Support Windows Autopilot and other modern device management strategies.
• Collaborate with IT teams for system upgrades and migration projects.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation of system configurations and changes.
• Provide technical assistance and guidance to end users.
• Keep abreast of emerging industry trends and technological advancements.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience as a Server and Systems Administrator or comparable role with strong knowledge of server operating systems.
• Hands-on expertise with virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• Experience in administering Microsoft 365 services.
• Competence in managing Microsoft Intune and endpoint security solutions, including patch management.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Relevant professional certifications, e.g., Microsoft or VMware certifications.
