Role Overview
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will collaborate closely with the development team to solve difficult problems and develop elegant software solutions. This position involves working on critical systems within the core SaaS and API platform, ensuring they are scalable, fault-tolerant, and reliable. You will enhance the user experience for businesses using Partly’s platform and contribute to establishing and sharing software development best practices. This opportunity offers the chance to gain deep expertise in the complex and underserved auto parts domain.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain mission-critical components of the core SaaS and API platform.
- Ensure systems are highly scalable, fault-tolerant, and maintain high accuracy.
- Work to provide excellent experience for business customers using the platform.
- Collaborate with the team to develop and promote best practices in software engineering.
- Specialize in the automotive parts domain, understanding its unique complexities.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience building complex software applications.
- Strong foundation in computer science and engineering principles such as data structures, concurrency, software architecture, API design, testing methodologies, and design patterns.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to work collaboratively.
- Proficient knowledge of database technologies and data modeling, including relational and NoSQL databases.
- Experience designing reliable, distributed software systems.
- Bonus: familiarity with automotive parts industry or domain.
- Bonus: experience with the Rust programming language.
