Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist (m/w/d) to join our internationally diverse EMEA team headquartered in Amsterdam. This role offers both full-time and part-time options with one day per week home office flexibility. The successful candidate will independently manage the monthly payroll for a defined employee group and maintain accurate personnel master data. You will serve as a key contact for employees, managers, and external entities such as authorities and insurance providers on all payroll-related matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform monthly payroll processing autonomously for a designated group of employees.
- Maintain and manage personnel master data and payroll-related information accurately.
- Act as a liaison for employees, supervisors, and external organizations regarding payroll inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and social security regulations.
- Prepare reports, analyses, and statistics for HR and management.
- Support year-end activities such as issuing tax certificates, social security notifications, and annual reports.
- Contribute to projects that enhance and digitize payroll processes.
- Collaborate closely with HR administration, finance teams, and external service providers.
Qualifications
- EU citizenship or valid work authorization is mandatory; no relocation support is provided.
- Completed commercial apprenticeship, preferably with further qualification in human resources or payroll.
- Several years of professional payroll experience, ideally within an industrial or shift-based environment, preferably at a senior level or similar.
- Strong knowledge of tax, social security, and labor law.
- Familiarity with common payroll systems such as SAP HCM, DATEV, LOGA, UKG, or comparable software.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
- High attention to detail, sense of responsibility, and discretion.
- Independent, reliable, and well-organized working style.
- Strong service orientation and enjoyment of teamwork.
- Good command of English.
