Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager for Local Procurement based in India. This leadership role involves steering and optimizing all local procurement activities in line with international procurement policies established by our headquarters in Japan. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of knowledge in procurement management and ensure that local procedures align with global standards, reinforcing our worldwide sourcing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct all aspects of India's local procurement operations, ensuring strict compliance with Renesas’ global procurement policies and best practices.
• Create and implement procurement strategies customized for the local market in support of global business targets.
• Engage actively in procurement executions including tender management, supplier evaluation, and contract negotiations.
• Generate periodic performance reports and analyses for global and local management review.
• Facilitate change management efforts aimed at enhancing procurement processes and promoting innovation.
• Lead efforts in cost reduction, supplier performance assessment, vendor relations, and risk mitigation within local procurement.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in India and international headquarters to ensure coherent communication and strategy alignment.
• Identify critical local suppliers, conduct contract negotiations, and enforce compliance with quality, ethical, and sustainability standards.

Required Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a similar field is mandatory.
• Extensive experience exceeding 10 years working with international teams and reporting to global management.
• Proven strategic mindset combined with practical procurement operation skills.
• Outcome-oriented, proactive, and flexible in adapting to evolving environments.
