Senior Contract Manager

Role Overview

As a Senior Contract Manager, you will provide essential contractual support throughout the preparation and execution phases of Boskalis projects, overseeing contract administration and leading complex high-profile joint venture projects. Your leadership includes supervising and mentoring Contract Managers and Quantity Surveyors while contributing to the Contract Management team within the Business Legal department.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage contracts through preparation and maintenance of daily progress and event logging.
• Support contract and commercial aspects during project lifecycle including complex joint ventures.
• Create, review, and negotiate contracts, variation orders, and claims.
• Draft and examine correspondence with partners, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Collaborate closely with Project Teams and departments such as Insurance, Procurement, Treasury, and Legal Counsel.
• Promote contract knowledge awareness among project team members.
• Mentor and oversee Contract Managers and Quantity Surveyors assigned to projects.

Qualifications and Experience

• Master’s degree in Law, Quantity Surveying, Cost Engineering, or a related field from an accredited university.
• Over 10 years of pertinent experience.
• Comprehensive understanding of international construction and maritime contract standards (e.g., FIDIC, LOGIC, NEC, IMCA, BIMCO).
• Experience within international maritime or civil engineering sectors is advantageous.

Skills and Personal Attributes

• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Strong communication skills paired with a team-oriented and business-minded approach.
• Willingness for international assignments and readiness to work on 6/4-week rotational project site schedules abroad.

Additional Information

• You will be embedded within the contract management and legal team.
• This role is full-time and involves working on international projects with a six-week on, four-week off rotation schedule.
