About the Role

This group constructs shared product foundations across client and application platforms, improving consistency and velocity for developers globally. Your primary task will be designing and developing scalable backend frameworks, shared services, and internal tools that streamline product development and enhance developer productivity. You will also collaborate closely with various platform and product teams to elevate architecture design, reliability, and deployment processes at scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain core backend frameworks, shared services, and developer-focused APIs that accelerate product delivery.
• Architect scalable, maintainable systems that can be extended easily and used reliably.
• Partner with product teams to co-create abstractions facilitating faster, safer feature rollouts.
• Drive adoption of service patterns, conventions, and engineering tools that raise technical standards across the company.
• Work closely with platform and product teams to enhance observability, deployment workflows, and developer efficiency.
• Mentor engineers and promote a culture emphasizing simplicity, innovation, and system reliability.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience building scalable backend systems within modern cloud environments.
• Expertise in Java or other JVM-based languages such as Kotlin or Scala.
• Sound knowledge of API design, modular architectures, and developer experience best practices.
• Experience using service frameworks, deployment pipelines, and shared library development.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
• Excellent communication and collaboration aptitude thriving in cross-functional teams.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and the complexities of scaling distributed systems.
