Senior Accountant

About the Role and Company

Wholly Hearty, a growing FMCG manufacturer based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, is preparing to launch a range of innovative food products. We are seeking a seasoned Senior Accountant to become part of our finance department. The successful candidate will play a vital role in establishing robust accounting procedures, financial controls, and reporting standards aligned with the company's expansion plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the management of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Handle all processing of incoming and outgoing invoices efficiently.
• Maintain and update the general ledger and detailed accounting records with precision.
• Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual closing tasks to align with accounting best practices.
• Maintain and track fixed asset registers along with depreciation schedules.
• Ensure adherence to Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) regulations and all associated reporting requirements.
• Manage Withholding Tax (WHT) filings and ensure timely payments.
• Prepare and reconcile accounts, supporting statements, and documentation as needed.
• Assist with external audits and preparation of Zakat documentation to ensure compliance.
• Record all accounting transactions accurately within the ERP system.
• Facilitate inventory reconciliations, track production and consumption data, and update product costing details.
• Coordinate physical stock counts and support overall inventory control efforts.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Have between 5 to 7 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Demonstrate previous work experience in the FMCG industry.
• Exhibit a solid understanding of accounting processes, reconciliations, and financial reporting standards.
• Be experienced in working with ERP systems within FMCG settings, with a preference for Oracle ERP.
• Display exceptional attention to detail alongside a strong, disciplined approach to accounting controls and procedures.
