Self Checkout Attendant

Overview

Key Duties

• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the self-checkout area, ensuring removal of any unnecessary items, debris, or liquids.
• Guide customers on proper and efficient use of self-service checkout systems as needed.
• Promote Walmart's sponsored programs such as credit card services, product protection plans, and charitable initiatives where appropriate.
• Monitor customer activities to identify when support or intervention is required.
• Conduct quality checks and self-service interventions with polite explanations to reassure customers about standard procedures.
• Manage responses to electronic article surveillance alarms and accurately complete related documentation.
• Notify the Customer Service Manager in case of low cash supply or technical difficulties in the self-checkout area.
• Ensure Scan & Go scanners are returned to their designated places after use.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this position is $15.50.

Minimum Requirements

• Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
