Security Cloud Solution Architecture Manager

Overview

The Security Cloud Solution Architecture Manager leads a dedicated team of security solution architects who assist customers in adopting, optimizing, and expanding Microsoft security solutions. This role involves coaching and enabling the team to tackle complex challenges, deliver business value, and provide outstanding customer experiences. Collaborating across Microsoft, the manager removes obstacles, coordinates necessary resources, and ensures customers meet their security and transformation goals.

This position combines leadership in customer engagement, technical strategy formulation, business growth initiatives, and managing personnel. Key objectives include deepening customer relationships, driving operational excellence, influencing stakeholders, and developing a high-performing team delivering tangible results.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and development opportunities for a team focused on enhancing customers' cybersecurity posture and achieving business outcomes.
• Collaborate with senior technology executives such as CISOs and CIOs to define security strategies, transformation plans, and technological investments.
• Support customers in minimizing cyber risks through the design and advocacy of secure, resilient, scalable cloud architectures aligned with Zero Trust principles.
• Stimulate adoption and derive business value from Microsoft Security, Cloud, and AI solutions, ensuring measurable returns on their investments.
• Guide customers through security modernization efforts involving identity management, data protection, threat defense, cloud security, security operations, and AI-enabled security tools.
• Address complex technical and business issues by removing barriers and coordinating resources across Microsoft and customer teams.
• Identify chances to broaden customer success by aligning security investments with business goals, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
• Establish strong executive relationships acting as a trusted advisor on cybersecurity trends, resilience strategies, regulations, and emerging threats.
• Promote operational excellence and enforce disciplined execution across engagements to achieve consistent, predictable outcomes.
• Encourage a culture focused on technical excellence, continuous innovation, and learning, building deep expertise in security, cloud, and AI.
• Influence product and solution development by providing customer insights, industry trends, and field experience to engineering and product teams.
• Represent Microsoft as a thought leader in security through executive briefings, industry participation, technical forums, and strategic discussions.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related fields with 10+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, IT consulting/support, software development/support, or related architecture and practice development roles, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of people management experience overseeing consultant practice managers, technical sales managers, technical architect managers, or related roles.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with 15+ years experience or Master's degree with 12+ years in cloud/infrastructure technologies, IT solutions, architecture, and consulting.
• Minimum of 8 years in customer-facing roles, leading technical teams or projects.
• Relevant cloud technical certifications (Azure, AWS, Google, or security certifications).
• 8+ years managing people in consultant or technical leadership roles.
