Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive Sample Receipt Officer to manage the intake and dispatch of samples to support our commercial laboratory's success. This dynamic, fast-paced position involves accurate sorting, unpacking, labeling, and coordinating laboratory samples with attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive deliveries from clients and verify samples comply with testing requirements.
• Process and log incoming sample shipments by sorting and labeling appropriately.
• Interpret client documentation accurately to ensure proper handling.
• Coordinate freight arrangements for both internal and interstate sample pickups.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external clients regarding sample submissions.
• Maintain orderly filing and documentation systems within the laboratory.
• Perform general housekeeping to keep the work environment safe and efficient.
• Adhere to occupational health and safety standards rigorously.

Additional Desirable Skills

• Interest or experience in technical areas such as computer assembly, circuitry, automation, Excel macros, scripting, or 3D printing.
• Knowledge or capability in coding/programming languages such as VBA, Python, R, SQL, or similar.
• Familiarity or enthusiasm for robotics, artificial intelligence, process automation, or digital optimization technologies.
