Role Overview
We are looking to hire a diligent Sample Coordinator on a 12-month fixed-term contract to support our e-Commerce Merchandising team. This person will be responsible for managing and organising samples, ensuring careful handling and timely distribution, while maintaining detailed records and measurements necessary for accurate product descriptions and replication. The role demands exceptional organisational skills, a passion for structure, strong communication abilities, and familiarity with jewellery and accessories.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain systematic organisation of sample inventory categorized by type, style, and range.
- Handle a large volume of samples with care, ensuring proper storage and labelling (re-carding).
- Monitor and update sample statuses daily using Product Information Management systems and Excel.
- Coordinate sample transit between departments to support timely deliveries.
- Collaborate closely with buying teams to guarantee sample availability aligned with plans.
- Partner with Customer Experience teams to address any discrepancies in product details or images.
- Accurately measure samples according to prescribed standards and record these measurements.
- Keep relevant stakeholders informed on sample progress and potential issues.
- Identify any inefficiencies in workflow and propose process improvements.
- Provide assistance on miscellaneous tasks as required.
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong organisational skills paired with excellent time management capabilities.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently and effectively.
- Experience within the retail sector is highly desirable.
- Physical capability to regularly lift shipments weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Meticulous attention to detail ensuring accuracy and quality in all operations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive mindset with enthusiasm for continual process improvement.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
