Position Overview
Our client seeks a dependable and meticulous Cleaner to service residential rental properties. The role involves performing cleaning assignments including move-in and move-out cleans, rental turnover cleaning, and preparing units to be photo-ready and show-ready for listings.
The company operates as a comprehensive leasing partner utilizing proprietary technology designed to help landlords lease faster by reducing vacancies and thoroughly screening applicants. Their services include syndicating rental units across MLS and multiple platforms, handling all process steps from listing through move-in.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend various residential rental properties to perform scheduled cleaning tasks such as move-in/out and turnover cleanings.
- Conduct general residential cleaning following established company standards to ensure property readiness.
- Clean all major rooms including kitchens, bathrooms, living areas, bedrooms, hallways, and maintain appliances, floors, surfaces, cabinets, and fixtures.
- Remove dust, dirt, junk, debris, garbage, and any leftover items.
- Wipe down all surfaces such as countertops, sinks, mirrors, doors, baseboards, and frequently touched areas.
- Perform floor care including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing.
- Clean interiors of appliances as needed, covering refrigerators, stoves, ovens, microwaves, dishwashers, washers, and dryers.
- Identify and report areas requiring additional cleaning, minor repairs, junk removal, or other follow-up before listing or move-in occurs.
- Capture clear before-and-after photos and videos documenting each cleaning job.
- Provide comprehensive updates, including notes, visuals, and status reports after every visit.
- Communicate professionally with landlords, applicants, tenants (when applicable), and internal teams.
- Adhere to company protocols, including cleaning checklists, access instructions, and appointment guidelines.
Additional Duties
- Deep cleaning tasks focused on kitchens, bathrooms, and appliances.
- Cleaning floors, dusting surfaces, cabinets, drawers, window sills, and baseboards.
- Removal of garbage and light debris as part of routine cleaning efforts.
- Preparing rental units for listings by ensuring they are pristine for photos, showings, inspections, and move-ins.
Candidate Requirements
- Prior experience in a cleaner, housekeeper, cleaning contractor, or residential cleaning role.
- Strong familiarity with residential cleaning standards and techniques.
- Reliable personal transportation to attend various rental properties.
- Possession of necessary cleaning supplies and equipment for appointments.
- Comfortable working independently onsite at rental properties.
- Owns an iPhone 13 or a similar smartphone equipped with a high-quality camera for documenting work.
- Ability to capture clear photographs and videos of properties before and after cleaning.
- Skilled in writing concise notes and submitting detailed updates after each cleaning session.
- Highly organized, punctual, and capable of following detailed instructions and checklists.
- Responsible and professional communication with landlords, tenants, applicants, and team members.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience specifically in move-in, move-out, or rental turnover cleaning.
- Prior work cleaning residential rental units with a focus on listing readiness.
- Ability to recognize damages, maintenance needs, junk removal, pest or safety issues, and access complications.
- Background working independently in the field for property management, leasing, cleaning, or home services firms.
