Clinical Philosophy
The care approach focuses on personalized, evidence-based interventions that engage patients where they are to foster lasting lifestyle and metabolic improvements. This interdisciplinary model coordinates between RDs, nurses, physicians, and other providers, continuously refining care methods through data and feedback.
Role Overview
We seek a Research Associate to establish and lead the infrastructure for prospective clinical research projects — designing protocols, implementing studies, managing data, and producing impactful publications. Reporting to the Head of Research, this full-time role suits NYC-based or remote candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and manage IRB-approved prospective study protocols, oversee consent and enrollment processes for clinical studies.
- Collaborate with clinical operations, product, and data teams to build systems for patient eligibility screening, consent collection, and follow-up data gathering.
- Produce research communications including white papers, conference abstracts, and peer-reviewed articles, and handle submission procedures.
- Maintain research datasets, quality control data, document standards, and develop dashboards to monitor study progress.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience independently executing prospective clinical research studies, from protocol development to data integrity maintenance.
- Strong record in writing scientific abstracts and contributions to rigorous research reports; manuscript writing is advantageous.
- Self-motivated with rapid adaptability to new, ambiguous situations, able to operate proactively with minimal supervision.
- Effective cross-functional collaborator skilled in translating research needs into actionable plans with clinical, product, and data teams in a health technology environment.
- Proficient with clinical datasets and data management, including using data tools and AI-driven workflows; familiarity with statistics is a benefit.
Educational & Additional Qualifications
- Master's degree in a health-related discipline required; PhD candidates also considered.
- Preferred experience includes backgrounds in nutrition, metabolic or cardiometabolic health, clinical experience, and setting up research infrastructures in novel contexts.
Culture & Values
This role demands high performance, resilience, humility, and a commitment to complex, meaningful challenges. Candidates thrive in demanding environments by embracing hard work, continuous improvement, and cooperative feedback.
Work Authorization
Applicants must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
