Overview
Integrated Resources, Inc (IRI) is seeking a Research Associate based in Lexington, MA, for a 12-month contract position. The role involves providing technical research support across multiple projects aimed at accelerating the evaluation and clinical development of therapeutic candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct siRNA drug candidate screening, identifying hits and optimizing leads.
- Utilize cellular and molecular biology techniques such as mammalian cell culture, in vitro screening, cell-based assays, RNA extraction, and quantitative real-time PCR (RT-qPCR).
- Interpret and present experimental data during team meetings.
- Maintain precise and comprehensive laboratory records.
- Prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and technical documentation as required.
- Work collaboratively with research colleagues to rapidly resolve critical drug efficacy questions.
- Review and analyze scientific literature to inform research strategies, primarily contributing through hands-on laboratory work.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Cell and Molecular Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related discipline.
- Over four years of relevant laboratory experience in drug discovery within academic or industrial settings.
- Proficient in cellular and molecular biology methods including mammalian cell culture, cell-based assays, and RT-qPCR.
- Experience culturing primary human adipocytes and hepatocytes is advantageous.
- Familiarity with advanced in vitro model systems such as organoids and 3D culture platforms is highly desirable.
- Practical knowledge of RNA interference (RNAi) techniques and in vitro screening preferred.
