Role Location and Hours
This position is based at Radius Potter Home, located at 174 Bank Street, Regent, Whangarei. The full-time role requires 32 hours weekly working on a 24/7 rotating roster that includes weekends and public holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform person-centred care enhancing critical thinking abilities.
- Conduct patient assessments and develop care plans.
- Deliver exceptional care, including medication administration and daily activity support.
- Observe and evaluate outcomes for residents and their families.
- Monitor changes in residents’ health conditions and behaviours.
- Maintain precise, current documentation and records.
- Educate colleagues on potential side effects of medications.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies by initiating treatment.
- Manage wound care effectively.
- Reassure and provide education to residents’ families.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- Current New Zealand Annual Practising Certificate.
- Proficiency with computers and clear reporting capabilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills coupled with empathy towards residents and their families.
- Willingness and flexibility to work rostered shifts.
- Preference for candidates with over one year of nursing experience in New Zealand, though new graduates are welcome to apply.
