About the Role
Peraton’s RDG team is hiring a Quality Intelligence Analyst. This position focuses on making sure systems are dependable, accurate, and built according to design expectations by blending software quality assurance, system review, and UX-oriented evaluation. The work relies on data and structured testing to confirm functionality, measure workflow effectiveness, and ensure the end product is consistent and usable. The UX aspect is limited to checking design consistency, clarity, and interaction patterns; it does not involve user research or representing user preferences.
This is a fully remote role.
Key Responsibilities
- Take part in the complete QA process, from planning and test design through execution and validation.
- Create thorough test plans and test scripts for BI systems, integrations, and data flows.
- Carry out functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.
- Check data correctness, transformation logic, and end-to-end reporting behavior.
- Work with developers, data engineers, and system owners to investigate root causes of issues.
- Keep QA records complete, precise, and ready for audit review.
- Raise change requests and defect items through the Change Control Board workflow.
- Support test automation efforts when suitable.
- Perform UX-related quality reviews focused on layout consistency, labeling clarity, and interaction flow.
- Confirm that solutions are accurate, reliable, usable, and aligned with design and UX expectations, including system workflows.
- Work independently or with project teams to support application testing and QA testing.
- Lead or support presentations, walkthroughs, and reviews of requirements, system behavior, and test results for stakeholders.
- Partner with business leads, technical teams, and project managers to keep quality expectations aligned.
- Work directly with application developers throughout development to clarify requirements, validate technical behavior, support defect analysis, and verify that delivered functionality matches the intended design and workflow.
- Offer practical suggestions to improve product quality, usability, efficiency, and overall user experience.
- Help improve QA processes, templates, and automation opportunities.
- Participate in team planning, prioritization, and release readiness activities.
- Handle other assigned duties as needed.
Qualifications
Required
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must hold a current Tier 5 favorably adjudicated clearance.
- At least 2 years of experience in software QA, data/BI testing, or application testing.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite for documentation, reporting, and presentations.
- Strong eye for detail and the ability to assess layout, usability, and alignment with UX standards.
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred, though 6 years of work experience may be accepted in place of the degree.
Preferred
- Background in UX research or usability testing methods.
- Ability to translate business and technical requirements into test scenarios.
- Experience using test management platforms such as Azure DevOps or Jira.

- Comfort creating detailed reports and delivering presentations.
- Ability to adapt quickly when priorities or conditions change.
- Proven ability to work independently and develop solutions with minimal direction.
