About the Role
Net Connect Global is seeking a QA Automation Engineer specializing in automotive software testing. This position focuses on validating automotive software systems through software testing, automation, and Python programming. The successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing software quality by designing and executing automated and manual tests, particularly for automotive Electronic Control Units (ECUs) and electrical/electronic vehicle architectures.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, implement, and execute automated and manual test cases for software applications.
- Conduct REST API and GUI testing to verify software performance and reliability.
- Develop and upkeep automation scripts using Python and relevant frameworks.
- Collaborate closely with developers to identify, reproduce, and troubleshoot defects.
- Integrate automated testing within CI/CD pipelines utilizing Jenkins and Azure DevOps.
- Manage and configure test environments, including Azure Virtual Machines.
- Work in Linux-based development and testing settings.
- Support testing activities of automotive ECUs and EE vehicle architectures.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Certification in ISTQB Tester or equivalent hands-on experience in software testing and automation.
- Solid grasp of software testing methodologies and best practices.
- Proven experience in REST API and GUI testing.
- Proficiency in Python programming with understanding of object-oriented principles.
- Knowledge of HTML and JavaScript basics.
- Experience with automation tools such as Robot Framework, Selenium, Playwright, and Jenkins.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps and Azure Virtual Machine setup and CI/CD processes.
- Comfortable operating in Linux environments.
- Understanding of electrical/electronic vehicle architectures and experience testing automotive ECUs.
- Capability to develop testing coverage encompassing UI, APIs, databases, and microservices.
