Position Summary
The Purchasing Coordinator ensures smooth supply chain operations by managing procurement, inventory, and supply planning to meet customer needs efficiently while controlling costs. This role integrates supply planning with in-depth analytics and works closely with sales, marketing, and logistics to align supply chain activities with business objectives.
Key Duties
- Maintain optimal inventory levels preventing shortages and excess; enforce inventory control procedures.
- Coordinate supply chain efforts by liaising with suppliers, manufacturers, and logistics for on-time and budget-friendly procurement.
- Manage orders to ensure prompt processing and delivery from suppliers.
- Analyze supply chain data regularly and present findings for management review.
- Identify and resolve potential supply chain disruptions through proactive risk management and contingency planning.
- Continuously seek and propose improvements to supply chain workflows to boost efficiency, reduce expenses, and enhance service quality.
- Create and update material master data within company systems to ensure accuracy and relevance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, logistics, or a related field.
- Preferably 2-3 years of experience in supply chain planning, inventory management, or related functions.
- Certifications such as APICS CPIM or CSCP are considered beneficial.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, lookups; Power Query or VBA is a plus.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong multitasking, prioritization, and time management capabilities.
- Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision and high precision.
- Confidence in seeking clarifications and effectively communicating.
- Team-oriented, able to collaborate across departments.
- Strategic thinking to develop sustainable supply chain systems.
- Positive attitude, reliability, self-motivation, and solid problem-solving aptitude.

Working Hours and Location
- Flexible 7.5-hour shift scheduled within standard office hours (8:00 AM–5:00 PM).
- Office located in Mississauga, Meadowvale area.
- Hybrid work environment requiring three days onsite weekly.
