Job Overview
We are seeking an adept Project Manager to oversee intricate projects from their inception through to successful completion at our Arlington, Virginia location. This contract-to-permanent position is ideal for professionals who excel at managing multiple workstreams, aligning stakeholder interests, and enforcing rigorous project governance in dynamic settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage several projects simultaneously through their full lifecycles, ensuring each progresses seamlessly from start to finish.
- Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and sponsors to define project scope, timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including schedules, communication plans, risk registers, action items, and decision logs.
- Closely track milestones, commitments, and outputs, proactively engaging team members to maintain schedules and address potential delays. Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies in coordination with leadership and cross-functional partners.
- Prepare and distribute clear, timely project updates and communications to all stakeholders regarding status, decisions, and forthcoming steps.
- Deliver organized presentations on project progress, obstacles, and technical details to leadership and partner groups.
- Support measurement of project performance by assisting in defining key metrics and contributing to progress reports aligned with operational objectives.
- Participate in broader organizational initiatives and undertake additional tasks as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience managing multiple complex projects concurrently.
- Industry experience specifically within medical devices.
- Strong capabilities in project planning, organization, stakeholder engagement, and clear communication.
- Leadership skills to guide cross-functional teams and influence diverse stakeholders at multiple levels.
- Expertise in risk management, project governance, and status reporting.
- Excellent problem-solving aptitude with the capacity to work independently in fast-paced environments.
- Familiarity with various project management methodologies and tools.
