Project Engineer - Water Networks

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Engineer specializing in water network design to join our team in Cork, Ireland. In this position, you will contribute significantly to the planning, design, and execution of essential water infrastructure projects that impact the future of Ireland's water systems.

Key Responsibilities

You will develop comprehensive designs for water network systems, including pumping stations and storage facilities. Your role involves preparing feasibility studies, conducting site assessments and technical analyses, and creating detailed specifications and tender documentation. Collaborating closely with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams, you will supervise and support team members in preparing project drawings and related deliverables. Additionally, you will offer expert technical guidance throughout all stages of project delivery.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to the water sector and possess the following qualifications and skills:

• A minimum Level 8 third-level engineering degree.
• Extensive experience in water network design following graduation.
• Robust professional and technical expertise in this field.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Attention to detail coupled with effective problem-solving skills.
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
• Proficiency with industry-standard engineering software.
