Role Overview

We are seeking a Project Contract Administrator specializing in transport and infrastructure projects. Based primarily on the Employer’s Representative side, you will offer trusted advice on commercial and strategic matters, help oversee contract procurement and management efforts, and ensure contract optimisation. This role involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and supporting junior staff development, all contributing to smarter and more sustainable infrastructure solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer contracts linked to public works in transport and infrastructure, ensuring compliance with Employer’s requirements.
  • Manage contract communications, including contractor correspondence, instructions, clarifications, notices, queries, and good handling of change management.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate project documentation such as action logs, correspondence registers, change and risk registers, and payment tracking.
  • Collaborate thoroughly with engineering, commercial, procurement, and client teams to ensure all contract terms and project procedures are adhered to.
  • Support tender and procurement procedures by preparing tender documentation, managing queries, evaluating proposals, and maintaining governance records.

Candidate Profile

  • Holds a degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of four years of experience in contract administration, commercial management, procurement, or related project delivery roles specifically within transport, infrastructure, engineering, construction, or public sector environments.
  • Proficient knowledge of public works contract documents, including conditions of contract, tender materials, schedules, pricing, and correspondence.
  • Hands-on experience in tendering processes including document preparation, clarifications, evaluations, and record management.
  • Strong organizational aptitude with an emphasis on detail, capable of managing multiple documents, correspondence streams, and project activities confidently.
