About Nothing
Nothing is on a mission to reignite excitement in technology by integrating design, emotion, and human creativity at the core of its products. Since its founding in London in 2020, the company has expanded rapidly, supported by notable investors and operating in over 40 markets globally. Their focus is to deliver technology that evokes real feelings.
About The Team
Nothing has established a passionate hardware brand and is now shifting towards paid software products competing against well-established competitors. The product team is focused on identifying their target market and converting interest into measurable willingness to pay, while aligning launches with hardware announcements and remaining adaptive to changing signals.
Role Overview
As Product Manager, you will take a central role in defining the product's mission, positioning it to win against rivals, and ensuring the roadmap is carefully managed and adaptable. You will also lead pricing and packaging strategies, oversee user research to understand customer segments, and work in close partnership with growth marketing to optimize user acquisition and conversion. Additionally, you will contribute hands-on to the creation of commercial infrastructure such as billing systems and pricing experiments.
Key Responsibilities
- Clarify the product’s unique value and competitive positioning to precisely define the target audience and motivate them to switch.
- Manage the full product roadmap lifecycle, including discovery, prioritization, sequencing in collaboration with design and engineering, and deliver launches on schedule.
- Design and implement pricing and packaging structures, balancing free and paid features to drive subscription revenue.
- Adjust product plans swiftly in response to market or user data and defend pivots strategically.
- Conduct comprehensive user research focusing on prosumers, identifying what delights users and what they are willing to pay for, converting assumptions into validated data.
- Collaborate with growth marketing to synchronously optimize activation and paid conversions, integrating feedback loops between product and go-to-market teams.
- Develop foundational product and commercial systems such as billing logic, and metrics tracking for activation and retention, including pricing experiments.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven track record of taking a product from initial concept through to successful paid launch, independently steering strategic decisions and owning outcomes.
- Experience thriving in resource-limited, nimble team environments where building measurement and billing infrastructure hands-on is necessary.
- In-depth familiarity with consumer and prosumer subscription software models like freemium funnels and self-service purchasing.
- Expertise in crafting and launching pricing models that have meaningful revenue impact, ideally transitioning products from free to paid tiers.
- Strong strategic perspective considering user purpose and value proposition beyond just conversion metrics, with agile roadmap adjustment ability.
- Highly analytical mindset, comfortable conducting cohort analyses, retention studies, and validating willingness-to-pay hypotheses.
- Excellent user empathy and straightforward communication skills, capable of engaging senior leadership and end-users effectively.
Working Conditions
- Position based in London, working onsite at Kings Cross and Farringdon offices.
- Full-time role requiring presence five days a week, with flexibility to accommodate personal needs where feasible.
