Product Data Manager

Overview

A fintech company based in Cork is seeking two Product Managers to significantly contribute to a major transformation of their data platform. This organisation develops financial analytics software used by numerous institutions across the United States. Their solutions are central to managing data, reporting, and compliance. Currently, they are reconstructing the foundational data systems supporting their operations, and these two Product Manager roles will be pivotal in guiding this programme.

Role Details

Both positions are part of the overarching data platform initiative but focus on distinct aspects. One role concentrates on the processes involved in data ingestion, organization, and cleansing, while the other centres on leveraging that data to generate value and ensure it reaches relevant users effectively. The strategic vision is defined, but the approach to execution is open for the incumbents to develop.

Candidate Profile

Applicants may vary in background and experience; the ideal candidate will possess a combination of the following qualities:

• Currently practicing as a Product Manager, comfortable managing a product domain and adapting to challenges independently, regardless of seniority.
• Experience working closely with software developers or a technical background, enabling fluent participation in technical discussions without requiring intermediaries.
• Skillful at distilling unstructured requirements from various stakeholders into clear, actionable tasks suitable for engineering teams. Equally adept at engaging with both business and technical teams.
• For the role focused on value extraction from data, knowledge or background in machine learning, agentic AI, or mathematical fields is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or Microsoft Fabric is beneficial. Experience in B2B SaaS or data-related sectors is a plus but not essential.
