About the Role
ACCPRO is recruiting a Procurement Scientific & Technical Officer for a client based in Galway, Ireland. This position is a 6-month contract, offered fully onsite, with the possibility of extension. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in advancing the digitisation and standardisation of procurement processes and documentation within the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and update procurement guidance materials, process flow diagrams, FAQs, and training content tailored for SharePoint users.
- Drive the digitisation and alignment of procurement documents and procedures to ensure consistency and ease of access.
- Manage and organise procurement-related content, including document libraries and information architecture on SharePoint.
- Collaborate closely with departments such as Procurement and HR, as well as key stakeholders, to enhance procurement resources.
- Interpret procurement policies and processes into straightforward, practical guidance for employees and management.
- Ensure procurement content remains current, compliant with governance standards, and accurate.
- Support initiatives aimed at improving procurement workflows and user experience across the organisation.
- Champion best practices to maintain accessibility of procurement information organisation-wide.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess a tertiary qualification in Business, Procurement, Information Management, Communications, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience managing digital content on SharePoint, specifically handling document libraries and structuring information architecture.
- Proven strong writing capabilities to develop clear, engaging user guides and instructional materials.
- Skilled in creating process maps, FAQs, and other documentation focused on user comprehension.
- Understanding of public sector procurement procedures, governance frameworks, and compliance obligations.
- Background in executing digitisation, content creation, or process enhancement projects.
- Ability to convert complex policy and technical data into accessible, actionable guidance.
- Strong organizational capacity, stakeholder relationship management, and collaboration skills, with the aptitude to juggle multiple tasks autonomously.
