Process Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with production leadership to select impactful projects aligned with business goals.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the fiberglass boat manufacturing environment.
• Manage projects from inception through to execution, ensuring timely delivery and successful outcomes.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to minimize waste and enhance quality controls.
• Gather and interpret process and quality data to monitor, evaluate, and improve processes.
• Address bottlenecks by balancing workloads across operators, workstations, and assembly lines.
• Design, modify, and implement process improvements to optimize product flow.
• Collaborate across production, engineering, and product development teams to reduce defects and support new product launches.
• Conduct root cause analyses and introduce corrective measures to eliminate process variations.
• Create and implement jigs, fixtures, and productivity aids to support manufacturing.
• Develop work instructions, quality alerts, and change notifications to communicate process changes effectively.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and proactively identify potential hazards in manufacturing areas.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent required.
• At least 1 to 3 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
• Comprehensive understanding of diverse manufacturing systems and operations.
• Proficient in Lean Manufacturing tools and process improvement methodologies.
• Experienced with MS Office suite, PIMS, and Teamcenter Engineering software.
• Basic grasp of cost accounting principles and the ability to interpret engineering drawings and documents.
• Preferred: Lean/Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
• Strong analytical capabilities with meticulous attention to detail and precision.
• Self-driven with aptitude for independent work under deadlines, adaptable and focused.
• Proven execution skills to meet business objectives successfully.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $86,500 to $126,800 annually, with actual offers based on expertise, experience, and geographic factors. Additionally, employees may receive an annual discretionary bonus. This role encompasses a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision coverage, paid time off, 401(k) plan with company match up to 4%, Health Savings Account with company contributions, well-being programs, and employee product discounts.

No travel is required for this role, and there are no direct reports. Relocation assistance is available.
