Role Overview

As a Specialist on the Proactive Moderation Operations team, you will be responsible for the end-to-end handling of multiple moderation cases, ranging from ticket generation through moderation, quality assurance, and golden labeling. You will develop expertise in proactive moderation tools and workflows, accurately labeling user-generated content while balancing factors such as false positives, speed, and urgency. Your role involves interpreting complex policies, identifying emerging abuse trends, and collaborating to improve moderation effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee numerous moderation cases simultaneously, managing each case from ticket creation through completion, including quality assurance and detailed reporting on emerging trends.
• Adapt swiftly among various policy violation categories as abuse patterns and priorities evolve.
• Stay informed of current sensitive events globally, incorporating this context into moderation judgments.
• Provide fast and precise content labeling, acting as a knowledgeable adjudicator balancing error rates and operational speed.
• Support and enhance content moderation workflows to ensure prompt, efficient user-generated content review.
• Gain comprehensive, practical knowledge of moderation tools and help clarify ambiguous policy areas as new challenges arise.
• Proactively search for threats and hidden abuse utilizing internal data, open-source intelligence, and external third-party information.
• Collaborate with third-party partners and internal teams to maintain effective, data-driven moderation practices.
• Identify and report software bugs, operational constraints, and potential feature enhancements to refine overall safety measures.
• Consistently achieve targets for quality and task throughput, employing data insights to guide moderation activities.
• Participate in a rotational weekend on-call schedule.
• Handle exposure to graphic and objectionable content sensitively.

Candidate Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in business, operations, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in content moderation, trust and safety, or related roles, with practical knowledge of safety moderation procedures and threat detection.
• Exceptional attention to detail combined with prudent judgment and consistent policy application under time constraints.
• Proven experience in process adherence and enhancement to boost operational efficiency.
• Competence in leveraging data analytics for decision-making in routine tasks.
• Excellent teamwork and communication abilities, capable of liaising with product, engineering, and BPO teams.
• Strong analytical and critical reasoning skills to conduct in-depth investigations and make fact-based decisions in dynamic, uncertain environments.

Additional Details

This is a full-time position based in the Gurugram, Haryana office following a rotational on-call schedule on weekends. Onsite attendance is required Tuesday through Thursday, with optional presence Monday and Friday. The role entails occasional exposure to explicit content.
