Planning Director - Hyperscale Data Center

Overview

This role offers an exceptional chance for an experienced Planning Director to lead project planning for a prominent global developer of hyperscale data centers, based in Dubai, UAE. The company is aggressively expanding with ambitious plans to develop nearly 3 GW of data center capacity worldwide within the next 2-3 years. The position involves managing multiple projects in the MENA region and requires readiness to travel across various Middle East locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead planning and scheduling activities on large-scale hyperscale data center projects throughout the MENA region.
• Operate within the Project Management Office (PMO) to supervise planning related to construction, design, procurement, and cost management.
• Ensure effective planning and scheduling from initial pre-construction phases through project completion.
• Provide strategic guidance and operational support to construction teams, consultants, and contractors.
• Develop and implement structured processes, procedures, and frameworks to enhance project delivery.

Experience & Background

• Minimum of 5 years' experience specializing in project planning and scheduling.
• Background in data centers, mission critical facilities, industrial, pharmaceutical, or other large-scale construction sectors.
• Prior experience engaging with tier 1 clients is advantageous.
• Currently residing in the UAE or willing to relocate.
