Position Overview

The People Advisor in HR acts as a strategic ally to a defined set of clients, offering expert guidance and hands-on support to solve organizational and personnel challenges. This role demands adeptness in shifting focus between various projects, spearheading Talent and HR initiatives from initial analysis to execution, while ensuring delivery of premium HR services that enhance business outcomes. The position combines comprehensive recruitment management with outsourced HR advisory assistance to help small business owners align their workforce strategies with overall business goals.

Key Success Indicators

  • Establish client trust as a strategic partner for recruitment and HR advisory services.
  • Efficiently manage multiple clients’ recruitment and HR service portfolios with professionalism and prompt responsiveness.

Major Responsibilities

  • Develop enduring and trusted partnerships with clients and their leadership teams.
  • Act as the main liaison for both recruitment and HR service deliverables.
  • Advise clients on strategic hiring, organizational framework, onboarding processes, employee performance, and workforce planning.
  • Educate business leaders on HR best practices, scalable people processes, and workforce strategies.
  • Collaborate with recruiting staff to manage end-to-end hiring processes, including sourcing, interviews, candidate experience, and offer negotiations.
  • Assist in crafting and enhancing job descriptions, onboarding programs, interview methodologies, and organizational charts.
  • Support clients in addressing employee relations, performance concerns, and leadership communication issues, escalating sensitive topics when necessary.
  • Maintain transparency and alignment through consistent weekly updates and communications with clients.
  • Monitor recruiting and workforce initiatives utilizing internal tracking tools.
  • Design and implement recruitment strategies aligned with clients’ hiring objectives and timelines.
  • Ensure candidates experience timely communications and positive engagement during recruitment.
  • Partner with internal People Services leadership to identify opportunities for operational enhancements and service expansion.
  • Represent the company brand with professionalism, accountability, urgency, and high-level client service standards.

  • Strong ability to build rapport and credibility with business owners and executives.
  • Capability to manage recruiting duties alongside strategic HR advisory tasks across various clients.
  • Deep understanding of recruiting practices, organizational development concepts, and HR industry standards.
  • Skill in assessing candidates for both technical qualifications and cultural fit.
  • Effective communication and conflict management skills in employee relations scenarios.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage competing client needs in a dynamic, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills in managing communications, candidate pipelines, and HR projects.
  • Proficiency in coaching leadership through sensitive people management decisions while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Business acumen to align human resources strategies with operational and financial company goals.
  • Self-motivated to work independently with collaborative contributions across internal teams.
  • Capability to develop recruiting and workforce strategies applicable to multiple industries and organizational designs.
  • Exhibits leadership, responsibility, and entrepreneurial spirit contributing to departmental growth and client success.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to conduct client meetings and workforce dialogues confidently.

Education and Experience

  • Between 3 to 5 years of experience in recruiting, HR, talent acquisition, HR consulting, or account management roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or closely related fields; equivalent experience is also acceptable.
  • Experience working with small business owners or managing multiple client accounts is advantageous.
  • Certification such as SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP is desirable but not mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Annual salary range: $75,000 to $100,000.
