Primary Duties
- Accurately processing and delivering payroll on a biweekly basis within set deadlines and quality standards.
- Inputting and validating payroll data promptly and performing necessary adjustments where errors are identified.
- Addressing routine to complex payroll-related enquiries from employees.
- Collaborating with internal teams and external bodies such as Revenue, Tax Office, and Social Welfare to ensure payroll compliance.
- Gathering and reconciling attendance records like timesheets and holiday entitlements.
- Managing employee database updates including onboarding, offboarding, and modifications to employee records as well as processing leaves and time amendments.
- Investigating payroll questions regarding payments, tax deductions, PRSI, working hours, and vacations.
- Generating and reviewing payroll reports, and ensuring employee detail updates such as bank information and contact details before payroll runs.
- Importing tax credits and payroll submission data from ROS and adjusting job sheets to ensure accurate wage calculations for client invoicing.
- Maintaining and updating various templates and statutory documentation such as social welfare forms and maternity benefits while keeping accurate records.
- Promptly responding to payroll inquiries raised by colleagues and operational managers.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Demonstrable experience within a payroll environment is essential.
- Possession of an IPASS qualification is required.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to function effectively in a fast-paced workplace.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, notably Word and Excel.
- Experience with SAP is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Organized and methodical work approach essential.
- Knowledge of the iTrent system is beneficial.
